Twinkle, Twinkle Mason Jar

Today its a cute gold mason jar with gold glitter twinkle stars! We could call them snowflakes too. This is perfect for the Holidays.

I just spray painted my mason jar gold then distressed it a bit so we can rock this jar as a luminary.

Using a handy dandy glue pen I drew the stars then sprinkled gold glitter. My glue pen is Martha Stewart, fine tip. You can only a few stars at once because the glue dries pretty quickly.

I took a brush after it dried to lightly brush off the extra glitter that clings to the jar.

The finished jar! Now, I always recommend top coating with gloss clear spray paint so it doesn’t shed but, we cant top coat the gold spray paint… Top coating ruins the finish.

What I do for something like this is use clear nail polish and brush over just the stars. Works perfect for protecting the glitter spots.

This jar can be made with other colors for sure. Red with white glitter stars for the holidays like my snowflake jar? I think I’ll have to make that! LOL.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy making your twinkle, twinkle mason jar. Come back and share yours. 🙂
