Stamped Snowflake Mason Jar Luminary

I only use acrylic paint so often, I’m into the spray with the smooth finish. I had to pick up some other colors so I picked up this Chalky Finish for glass by DecoArt too.

It has a super matte finish. Im totally into matte finishes. Its thinner than other acrylics Ive tried though.
I used three coats for this jar. I let it dry in between. Do light handed coats. I find brush painting jars with many paints will wrinkle and drag the coats you already applied.
A light sealer/top coat between coats wont hurt when brush painting.
The snowflake stamp I picked up a couple seasons ago in one of those holiday stamping sets on clearance! Don’t you love goodies after season dirt cheap?
The stamping is easier on the matte finish, no slipping. Ive tested stamping on a few paint finishes with my jars…
I really love how matte it is. If you frequently visit you know Im a matte/flat finish lover!
Little distressing, twine tie, bells and we have a cute holiday decor piece. Use as a luminary or fill with goodies for a gift. Cute teachers gift!
The directions state you can cure and bake this paint, it becomes dishwasher safe. I didn’t, I just used a matte top coat. Valpsar Flat finish.
Have you used any of the DecoArt chalk finish acrylics? Or stamped mason jars?

I tried to make these. I had a hard time stamping the snowflake, Do you use a ink pad or paint?. I will have to use them buy thought they should have looked a littlebetter/
Hi, I want to try this how long do you let dry in between coats. Then spray with a light sealer in between coats as well. Is it better to use a sponge brush or regular paint brush.
I used a stamp and the stamp smears off. I used a gloss coating and it still smears up. What can I use so it doesn’t smear? Thanks
Some inks dont seem to dry well, Ive used some. Fail! haha. You’d have to add more top coats to cover the ink to cover it well.

Yes, I sprayed with a clear coat. 🙂
