Copper Spray Paint Colors

Ok time for copper spray paint colors! Some of these colors were in my Rose Gold Spray Paint post but needs its own home, so many copper colors out there! πŸ™‚

Copper-colored spray paint, often chosen for its distinctive and warm aesthetic, is a strategic and eye-catching element in the colour scheme of Polish online casino offices. This choice isn’t simply about aesthetics; it’s a deliberate move to create a unique and engaging environment that appeals to both players and employees. Moreover, copper’s versatility in interior design allows Polish online casinos like sg casino to create cohesive and visually pleasing spaces. It can be paired with various complementary colors and textures, enabling customization to match different casino themes and styles. The choice of copper is also symbolic. It represents qualities such as wealth, luck, and prosperity, all of which are highly desirable in the world of online gambling. The warm tones of copper create an ambiance that resonates with the aspirations of players who are looking to strike it rich.

The copper colors of the spray paint will perfectly complement the decorative elements of Finnish online casino players. After all, high-quality Rust-oleum aerosol paint in a green, copper-colored can will be ideal for Spinz casino players. This color can be found at Home Depot and Valu Home Center stores in the Finnish region, where many online casino players live.

Krylon Super Maxx Copper, Krylon Copper Metallic High Heat, Krylon Copper Brilliance

Left to right bottom row:

Krylon White Copper, Rostoleum Copper Rose, Krylon Foil Metallic Copper, Rustoleum Bright Coat Copper, Krylon Copper

My favorite for copper is Rust-oleum in the green can. This one I can find local at Home Depot and Valu Home Center in my area. Of course I have a link bomb though. πŸ˜‰ Its not in the picture above because I forgot it! LOL

I love, love the finish of the high heat spray paint. Its more satin like and durable. Found this at Valu Home Center local.

Another Krylon Copper 1709. Pretty close to Rust-oleum. Again at Valu Home Center.

This Krylon Copper Brilliance. The spray nozzle sucks so I recommend this for small projects not painting 20 vases for your wedding! LOL Found at the craft store over priced… LOL.

Rustoleum Bright Coat Copper. This more of a rose gold shade or you could say rose copper.

Krylon White Copper. This is a pinkish tone too.

Krylon Foil Metallic Copper. More of a brassy copper shade.

Krylon Supper Maxx Copper. This one would work better for door knobs and the like. Its more durable like an enamel. The shiny metal ones like above tend to tarnish and show fingerprints. They are best used as decor pieces.

This is another one better for knobs and the like as well, Rustoleum Copper Rose.

Another copper I found from Krylon New Penny.

Copper glitter spray. Sucks alone but works good over the copper spray paint.

Below is Rust-oleum Metallic Aged Copper.

This line of metallic from Rust-oleum(like the can of Copper Rose above with the trigger spray above) are better used for things handled more often like the other two I just mentioned.

There are a couple more copper shades.  Sienna Mist and Metallic Rust.

I find my Rust-oleum shades at Home Depot, Lowes and Valu Home Center.

A little update. I came across these Rust-oleum coppers they sell in the UK. I know I have international visitors. πŸ™‚ I happened to come across this picture and it led to Amazon UK.

I have some link bombs here but, you may be able to find this local to you. πŸ™‚

I am so happy I found this site! You did a great job with everything! You answered all my questions before I even asked! Lol as you can see with this message and all the !!!!!!!!!!!!! Explanation marks from one crafter to another your posts are marvelous! I love to spray paint and it’s not as easy as it looks, believe me I have some leftover crafts that took the toll from me learning. As you said also there’s a certain way to go with that can it definitely takes practice so take your time and practice on something you don’t mind sticking in the corner of your craft room with something stuck inside of it!! Lol it’s very rare that I throw things in the trash ( in my craft room) no matter what size shape or color there is always a purpose for it that’s for sure. Once again ty so much for all your ideas all the info on that metallic paint! I would love to see more of the things you painted with the glow in the dark spray paint.I have so many ideas for the glow in the dark paint. It helps when you have a 7 year old grandson too! Thanks so much for posting this very thoughtful and complete article. I really appreciate this as I am wanting to give a copper finish to some 70’s metal kitchen cabinet hardware to match the finishing trim of kitchen appliances and maybe decor. You are a treasure and am so glad I found this article.

Hi, this was an interesting post. But I have a question for you: have you done anything similar with “Craft Sprays” in copper?
I have a few of the craft sprays, and by that I mean the unpressurised pump action sprays, usually mica supplies the ‘copper’ element.
Using words like “craft” “unpressurised” “pump action” does nothing to help a search, it’s a little better with: “mist” “glimmer” “shimmer” and sometimes “mica” to find anything appropriate.
If you know a brand name it narrows it down but if you’d like more different brands (ones you don’t know about yet) it’s so so hard to find!
I have a few different brands of copper spray, but no ‘Tattered Angels’ at all – that being an American brand and posting to me here in the UK costs more than a bottle, so I’d end up paying more than double the price.
    QUESTION:
So I wondered if YOU know of any other brands of copper (craft, not pressurised cans) sprays?
I have a Lindy’s Stamp Gang one, a Tim Holtz one, and a ‘bronze penny’ Prism one, not very copper like, I’ve even tried making my own using mica, which is okay, but I’m still looking for other new brands.

Sorry I dont know of any sprays like that. If you are doing that much spraying maybe consider getting an airbrush set. This acrylic is a really nice copper from DecoArt.

    Hi Kelly.
    Great posts. Thankyou.
I would like to ask please.
I have a concrete fountain that has been painted previously. I want to paint Copper.
The highly shiny types would they just show up all the lumps from previous paint?
Is there any paint you would recommend? And what about protective top coats do you recomend anything that can protect from weather and Australian sun?
    Thankyou in advance.

Try a high heat, outdoor formula or even acrylic paints with an outdoor sealer/clear gloss spray paint. Lumps will always show, they show the least using matte paints.

      Hope this helps. πŸ™‚

Great post! I have an old cherry wood bedroom furniture ( 2 nightstand and dresser) can I spray paint the enteriot with copper rose spray paint or is it best to prime and paint with metallic paint ?

    06/03/2019 at 2:30 am Reply
    • Kelly

Most you dont need to prime now but it wont hurt to prime. The Copper Rose is more sheer so a primer may change the color. Like white would make it look brighter while a gray primer will make it show a bit darker.

Hi Kelly, thank you so much for your side by side comparisons of copper spray! I was looking for those! Am spray painting my drawer handles and I wanted a shiny finish, but the krylon foil metallic I used leaves dust on your dinners whenever you touch them. Since we can’t coat them with a sealant without dulling them, how do you protect it? Thanks

    05/06/2019 at 3:14 am Reply
    • Kelly

You cant, those shiny metallic ones are good for decor stuff not handled. Ive tried anything I could and it ruins the finish trying to top coat. You’d have to use another kind or even use copper foiling, you can clear coat that and its more shiny. Hope that helps. πŸ™‚

I have three aluminum β€˜copper’ colored jello molds that have been on my husbands grandmothers kitchen wall for decades and have faded quite a bit. We’d like to hang them in our kitchen but they need refreshing. Which of the Copper Paints above would you recommend to paint the molds? Which is the brightest copper color?

Id use the Krylon Super Maxx in the black can. Its more durable and will hold up better to dust, grease ect. πŸ™‚

Hi Kelly, how many coats did you use for the jar with Rustoleum Bright Coat Copper?
I just did my first test on a plastic bright brass coaster and it looks dull. More like a satin finish instead of the creamy finish in your photo.
I sanded the coaster first and applied 3 thin coats.
I’m also experimenting with the Rustoleum Hammered copper and after 5 coats on a coaster, it still not very “textured” or hammered looking. Creamy looking yes with some light grain to it but not hammered. Maybe you could experiment with this one too. Thanks.

I did a few coats, the metallics cover pretty good. It will look more shiny on a very smooth surface like glass. I can see it having a duller look on something not so smooth.

Ive tried the hammered but way before my blog! haha. Maybe the coats are not thick enough? The hammered one I used before did the hammered look.

Hi Kelly, can you tell me if in the 3rd pics from the top, where you have the paint names underneath; first one from left top row, you call it Krylon Maxx and further below mid-page you have a photo with Krylon Super Maxx. Are these 2 paint the same?
Because if I hold a brand new penny to the screen next to it, it matches the most of all the other colors. That would be the closest match to my lamp. I just wonder if the color finish is different painted on a glass jar as opposed to a bright brass lamp. What do you think?

    • Kelly

Its the same paint. That Super Maxx has a nice durable finish that would be good for your lamp. It will have the same finish on any smooth surface. I think the Rustoleum in the green can is very penny like. I hope that helps. πŸ™‚

Hi Kelly, thank you so much for this blog. Been searching for hours to find differences in paint side-by-side and VOILA!

I don’t know how to post a photo but the color I’m trying to match looks like a brand new penny. I have this 6′ tall floor lamp in bright brass and just bought a “copper penny” light fixture above dining room table (Amazon called the color Rose Gold but it’s exactly the color of new pennies).
I’d like to spray paint all my brass accents in “new penny” color to all match but I’m afraid it might be overkill. I’m wondering about mixing items with the hammered finish.
Could you please make a color comparison between “new penny copper” bright metallic and same in hammered finish?
Big thank you for all your help. This is a big decision about my lamp. If I screw it up, there’s no turning back.

Thank you! All your research and work has just made my spray paint choosing journey a pain free experience. Standing in the pain aisle and knowing the caps were not the best representation or the shade I was looking for, I prayed google would help me and there you were. And while Rona (Canada) only carried a few of the options that you demo, I’m confident in the aged cooper that I chose, thanks to your comparisons!
